How to migrate reports created against a Progress Schema Holder to a normal Progress database
FIX:
If Report Builder reports are created against a Progress schema holder database then problems may be encountered if these reports then have to be moved to a normal Progress database.
Two connections occur when using a schema holder; the first to schema holder itself and the second to the 3rd party database. When attempting to move reports to a normal Progress database, only one connection is required but Report Builder will still prompt for a second connection.
To avoid this second request, use the following steps to migrate the report to the normal Progress database:
1) Load the report as normal, connecting to the schema holder and database.
2) Select File > Database Connections and connect to the Progress database that will replace the schema holder
3) Select Database > Master Table and change the Table to point to the table in the normal Progress database
4) Save the report
5) Re-open the report and the only connection required will be to the normal Progress database
