GOAL:
Can I restore with prorest V9 a V8 backup?
GOAL:
Is 9.1C probkup compatible with 9.1D prorest?
FIX:
A V8 backup cannot be restored with a V9 version; the structure of the databases, their master block for example, is changed when you run the needed conversion with V9 utility:
proutil <db_8> -C conv89
Backup and restore are supported between minor Progress versions, a backup made with 9.1C probkup can be restored with 9.1D prorest for example.
