Are Failover Clusters supported on Sun Solaris Intel ?
GOAL:
Is the Sun Cluster Manager certified on Sun Solaris Intel platform ?
FIX:
No they are not. Although Failover Cluster support for Solaris SPARC and Solaris Intel technically should be the same, we have only tested and certified the Sun Cluster Manager on SPARC hardware. As we will be dropping support for existing supported Solaris Intel after 9.1E and are unable to easily verify or validate the Sun Cluster Manager on the Sun Solaris Intel platform, it has not been certified.
Advice is to move to Solaris SPARC or Progress supported OS of choice for Cluster Managers on given Progress version.
