Some caveats of prorest
Example..
prorest db-name device-name
If the tape being accessed contains a db that is differently
named than the one being requested with "db-name" as listed
above, the db accessed on the tape is still restored.
This is restored to the system with the tape's archived name
and there is no opportunity to make a decision about this.
If the db name being accessed on the tape matches a db name on
the system, you are asked if you would like to overwrite the
system with the tape archived db name.
This means that care needs to be taken when installing the tape
to the tape drive to insure that it contains the correct db
name that is intended to be taken off.
The same care needs to be taken when using the no-rewind and fsf
options of the mag tape command to correctly position the tape
when accessing multiple databases that have been archived to
different sections of the tape.
ex..
mt -f /dev/rmt1 fsf 1
prorest dbx /dev/rmt1/dbx
