GOAL:
Can Czech 1250 and ISO8859-1clients connecting to multiple databases share a database?
FIX:
Codepages 1250 and ISO8859-1 are not compatible and databases with these codepages cannot be connected to the same client in version 8.
In version 9 (batch client only) or OE10, a utf-8 client could connect to both.
If the DBA can guarantee that the ISO8859-1 database that is to be shared contains no characters above 127, the codepage for this database could be converted to "undefined" and shared it with any client. This character limitation must be preserved.
In version 9 or 10, the database could be converted the database to utf-8 and connect to it with any of the supported clients.
