Installation of Progress or OpenEdge service pack fails with following errors:
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program /mnt/_ovrly because of the following errors:
0509-150 Dependent module libptools_ptr.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module libptools_ptr.a(shr.o).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
The installation terminated abnormally.
ldd /mnt/_ovrly reads:

CAUSE:
PTools library, part of the Base Application Development Debuggers package (bos.adt.debug) had not been installed on the OS level.
FIX:
Install Base Application Development Debuggers (bos.adt.debug) package from the AIX installation CD#1.
