The AppServer Internet Adapter (AIA) and the Secure AppServer Internet Adapter(AIA S) support HTTP and HTTPS protocols for sending information across the Internet.
When AIA is used communication between an AppServer client and an AppServer is encapsulated within standard HTTP requests. The requests are tunneled through a Web server. AIA converts the encapsulated HTTP or HTTPS requests into the standard AppServer protocol.
