FIX:

Please note, the table below is created "from" a Progress version and LATER minor versions. If the Progress version that you are interested in is an EARLIER or LATER major version, then by inference it is NOT certified.

For example:

Fathom Replication 2.0A was first certified against Progress 9.1D07 and is NOT certified to run with Progress 9.1E or any 9.1D preceding the SP07 release.
In other words, Progress 9.1D will need SP07 or later before installing Fathom Replication 2.0A

Fathom Replication 3.0A was first certified against Progress 9.1E and is indeed part of the core Progress 9.1E installation, so no earlier versions of Progress 9.x apply.
In other words, Progress 9.1E is the required database version of Progress to run Fathom Replication 3.0A. Is it NOT possible to replicate Progress 9.1D databases with Fathom Replication 10.0B or 3.0A.

The first version of OpenEdge 10 which is supported with Fathom for Management is OpenEdge 10.0B. This was Fathom Management 3.0A which is also certified against Progress 9.1D09 and 9.1E.
In other words, Fathom Management 2.1A will not work with OpenEdge 10.0B, Fathom Management 3.0A will need to be installed.
Fathom for Management 2.X & 3.0A won't run and cannot be installed against OpenEdge 10.0A, there is no Fathom Management product for this OpenEdge version.
Similarly, OpenEdge Management 3.1C can only be bound to OpenEdge 10.1C and no earlier version. If you try to do so, the install will fail with message:
The OpenEdge installation you are associating with this installation is not at the minimum patch level
The current OpenEdge version is 10.1A02 and the minimum required version is 10.1C00

Please note, the table below infers the respective Fathom Licenses availability on the required Operating System is available.

For example:

There is no Clusters product bundled with the Enterprise database license for Linux and SCO operating systems.

Please refer to the Product Availability Guide and Reference for the latest updates.

Fathom Replication (FR):
- The Enterprise database license is a pre-requisite. From OpenEdge 10.1B01++ the WorkGroup license will also run with Replication but not previously.
- Fathom Replication/OpenEdge Replication requires a product specific Serial Number to activate the license during installation.
FR 1.0A runs against Progress 9.1D05, a separate installation is needed.
FR 2.0A runs against Progress 9.1D07 (SP09 recommended) a separate installation is needed.
FR 3.0A runs against Progress 9.1E, and is built into the core product so it can be installed at the same time.
FR 3.0A runs against OpenEdge 10.0A, and is built into the core product so it can be installed at the same time.
FR 10.0B runs against OpenEdge 10.0B, and is built into the core product so it can be installed at the same time

OpenEdge Replication (FR):
FR 10.1A runs against OpenEdge 10.1A, and is built into the core product so it can be installed at the same time.
FR 10.1B runs against OpenEdge 10.1B, and is built into the core product so it can be installed at the same time.
FR 10.1C runs against OpenEdge 10.1C, and is built into the core product so it can be installed at the same time.
FR 10.2A runs against OpenEdge 10.2A, and is built into the core product so it can be installed at the same time.

Fathom Clusters (FC):

The Enterprise database license is needed.
FC 1.0A runs against Progress 9.1D, a separate installation is needed.
FC 1.0B runs against Progress 9.1D07, a separate installation is needed.
FC 9.1E is built into the Progress 9.1E core product and is included as part of the E.nterprise License.
FC 10.0B is built into the OpenEdge 10.0B core product and is included as part of the Enterprise License
FC 10.1A is built into the OpenEdge 10.1A core product and is included as part of the Enterprise License.
FC 10.1B is built into the OpenEdge 10.1B core product and is included as part of the Enterprise License.
FC 10.1C is built into the OpenEdge 10.1C core product and is included as part of the Enterprise License.
FC 10.2A is built into the OpenEdge 10.2A core product and is included as part of the Enterprise License

Fathom Management (FM):
Fathom Management is a separate product that requires a separate installation and product specific Serial Number.
FM 2.0A runs against Progress 9.1C and 9.1D
FM 2.1A runs against Progress 9.1C30 and 9.1D09
FM 3.0A runs against Progress 9.1D09 and 9.1E (SP02 recommended)
FM 3.0A runs against OpenEdge 10.0A and 10.0B (SP03 recommended)

OpenEdge Management (OEM):
OEM 3.1A runs against OpenEdge 10.1A
OEM 3.1B runs against OpenEdge 10.1B
OEM 3.1C runs against OpenEdge 10.1C
OEM 3.2A runs against OpenEdge 10.2A

Note: The Fathom Management product needs to be installed against the Progress/OpenEdge versions listed above. It can then be used to remotely monitor previous versions. For example:

OpenEdge Management 3.1x releases can only be bound to the associated OpenEdge 10.1x install.

- OpenEdge Management 3.0A, which can be bound to Progress 9.1D09, 9.1E or OpenEdge 10.0B, then remotely monitor other versions
- OpenEdge Management 3.1A can only be installed on the top of OpenEdge 10.1A, but it can remotely monitor Progress 9.1D09, 9.1E, OpenEdge 10.0B and 10.1A databases and installations
- OpenEdge Management 3.1B can only be installed against OpenEdge 10.1B, and it can remotely monitor Progress 9.1E, OpenEdge 10.0B, 10.1A and 10.1B databases and installations
- OpenEdge Management 3.1B01+ can only be installed against OpenEdge 10.1B01+, and it can remotely monitor Progress 9.1E0420, OpenEdge 10.0B0534, 10.1A0221 and 10.1B01+ databases and installations. If SP 3.1B01 has been applied then a special tfix needs to be applied for example on the remote OpenEdge 10.1A install first, as this SP changes the Sonic installation from version 5 to 6 for the remote containers. Please refer to Progress Solutions referenced below and the Readme associated with the license.
