DBA command error when updating the table definition using the Progress/400 Data Dictionary
The following DBA command error message was received: In LBI mode
The error appears when changing the mode of Progress/400 Data Dictionary from "Read-Only" to "Modify Schema"
The client connects to the server schema with -Dsrv TRANSCTL=LBI parameter
CAUSE:
The TRANSCTL option shouldn't be set to LBI value when modifying database schema. Progress uses AS/400 commitment control against the server schema tables (P__SEQ must be journaled) when modifying the schema. The OS/400 journaling and LBI technique are incompatible.
FIX:
Remove TRANSCTL from the connection string so as the default value would be used (-Dsrv TRANSCTL=OPTIONAL)
