SYMPTOM(s):
proserve of newly copied database files gives error 210
SYSTEM ERROR: Attempt to read block <> which does not exist. (210)
No information generated in core.
Database is over 1 GB
Several databases under 1 GB copy with no errors
CHANGE:
Copied database files with ftp from one machine to another
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
A workaround to the problem is to folllow these steps:
1. Run probkup on the database first on the first machine
Probkup db-name file.bkp
2. Ftp the resulting backup file to the new machine
3. Restore the backup file
Prorest db-name file.bkp
