GOAL:
Is it possible to install an evaluation license along with the current product install?
FIX:
Yes, but it is not recommended. The install in done the same way a regular product.
Evaluation licenses are meant to be installed in a development or testing environment. This should be kept in mind when installing the evaluation license because, when the license expires all Progress products will cease to operate. A message will be display that a license has expired.
When this happens there are two ways to correct the problem:
1. Update the offending license.
The Sales Representative must be contacted and an extension to the current evaluation license acquired.
2. Remove the offending license.
To remove the offending license do the following:
Uninstall Progress.
Install Progress using only those products that have licenses which are not expired.
