SYMPTOM(s):
JVM not detected during the installation of Progress
Correct version of Java is installed
Running java -version indicates that some files which Java has a dependency on are missing
CAUSE:
Java may have dependencies on other packages which have not been installed on the system.
Running java -version from a command prompt should display a list of the java version when all is functioning correctly.
If java has any missing dependency files it will typically display the name of the file that is missing.
FIX:
Make sure that all packages necessary for java to run are installed onto the system before attempting the Progress installation.
