Oracle's listener log file is growing big with tcp/ip message after using the oracle DataServer broker
The following message is being generated in the listener.log file 3 to 4 time in a second:
* (CONNECT_DATA=(SID=TRVTS)(CID=(PROGRAM=)(HOST=<Machine name>)(USER=<user name>))) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<IP Address>)(PORT=<port number>)) * establish * <SQL*NET Service name> * 0
The WebSpeed is connecting to the oracle database using the DataServer broker _probrkr
Three were two WebSpeed agents (_progres) hung processes in the ps list
Three were two orphan Oracle DataServer processes (_orasrv) seen in the ps list
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing.
FIX:
Kill the hung progress clients/WebSpeed agents (_progres) and the orphan DataServer processes (_orasrv) using the UNIX Kill utility.
