FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 2000
Progress 9.1D
SYMPTOM(s):
When running the application, the Date appears like 190x instead of 200x.
SESSION:TIME-SOURCE is LOCAL.
the Fill-in is assigned with TODAY function.
Date format is defined in the fill-in of the frame.
-dmy set as client startup parameter.
Using 4GL application with graphical interface.
Client Networking license installed
Year in other applications like MS Word, MS Excel is displayed correctly.
Other clients with same installation and configuration don't experience the problem
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing, however, after further investigations, Progress Technical Support has found out that the problem is related to the way the Date is defined at the BIOS level.
FIX:
Check the date at the BIOS level and change it to the appropriate value.
