WebSpeed responds very slow when the Windows Firewall is active
WebSpeed messenger, NameServer and Broker are on the same machine
The machine has network connections via a network card
The machine has also a modem
It is fast when disabling the Windows Firewall
Disconnecting the modem connection makes WebSpeed fast
The WebSpeed Broker registration mode is: "Use Broker Host IP Address"
CAUSE:
WebSpeed broker is using the modem connection ip-address which is much slower. This is why it is faster as soon as disconnecting the modem.
FIX:
Change the WebSpeed broker Registration Mode property to "Use Broker LocalHost".
Using Progress Explorer the "Registration Mode" property can be found in the WebSpeed Broker properties window, Controlling NameServer section.
