GOAL:
What user is listed as SHUT in the database log
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
Within the database log files each line will indicate what tool or user is initiating the line.
Example:
15:32:53 BROKER 0: Network Type (-N): Not Enabled. (4263)
15:33:32 Usr 5: Login by thisuser on /dev/pts/7. (452)
15:34:42 SHUT 6: drSigClient: Signal 15 received
15:34:42 SHUT 6: KILL signal received. (298)
When promon is connected to the Progress database it doesn't usually announce that it is connected.
However, if the promon session is killed or if the terminal window the promon session was running in is killed you will see the fact that SHUT has been killed.
SHUT is the identifier for a promon session.
