SYMPTOM(s):
When generating a Web services proxy with Dataset as parameter in a procedure, the Dataset has a data type of xsd:null in the WSDL document
The Web Services proxy is generated from the Proxy Generator
CAUSE:
Bug# 20040120-010
CAUSE:
Dataset parameter/return type is not supported with Web Services.
The ProxyGen should have detected the dataset and not let the WSDL/WSM generation succeed.
FIX:
- Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.0B. An error message appears when generating a Web Services (or Java Open Client) proxy containing a procedure with Dataset parameter/return type
or
- If upgrading is not an option, do not use Dataset as parameter/return type.
