SYMPTOM(s):
External device is connected to Linux box and communicates via TCP/IP
4GL application send data to external device without waiting for response
External device does not receive all of the data
CAUSE:
The code for the external device which processes the data coming in over the socket could not handle the speed at which the 4GL in combination with RedHat Enterprise Linux ES 3.0 was sending the data.
FIX:
Modify the code within the external device so that it can handle the speed at which data is arriving
