SYMPTOM(s):
Testing database connection with SQL Explorer on the same machine fails with following error:
[JDBC Progress Driver]: Transmit error (8933)
SQL Explorer starting on the same machine where the database server is running
4GL clients connect without errors
CHANGE:
Changed machine's IP address
CAUSE:
Missing localhost entry in /etc/hosts file
FIX:
Modify /etc/hosts file so that it contains local loopback interface
in addition to the external IP address & hostname :
127.0.0.1 localhost
