GOAL:

Why was support for SCO OpenServer JVM 1.3.1 edition withdrawn ?

GOAL:

Is SCO Openserver supported with Java 1.3.1 ?

FACT(s) (Environment):

OpenServer 5.0.6
OpenServer 5.0.7
Progress 9.1D

FIX:

No. SCO support for JVM 1.3.1 requires OSRcompat 8.0.1 which has been found not to be binary compatible with OSRCompat 7.1.1B package (which is necessary for running Progress V9.1D and OpenServer 5.0.6 together with release supplement 506a and OSS630a)

Until SCO fix this compatibility problem we have had to withdraw support for their OpenServer JVM 1.3.1 edition.
