AdminServer fails to stop the AppServer broker
Progress Explorer connects to the AdminServer
Stopping the AppServer hangs the Progress Explorer
Exceptions written in the admserv.log and ads0.exp files:
java.rmi.ConnectIOException: Exception creating connection to: <ip address>; nested exception is:
java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Host unreachable: no further information
Running Windows automatic update service
CAUSE:
Windows update of a network interface driver has been performed at the time when
the AdminServer was up and running.
FIX:
Stop the Progress services prior to install the Windows operating system
updates that involve upgrades of critical operating system files and services.
These updates usually require machine reboot upon their installation.
