Expecting ProService to automatically start when Windows reboots
Startup Type set to automatic in Services file
ProService running as Local System Account
CHANGE:
Progress product reinstalled over an existing installation.
CAUSE:
Path to ProService executable incorrect in ProService properties menu
FIX:
ProService executable (ProSrvc.exe) is found in Progress install directory\bin.
Edit Windows Registry to correct the path in the properties menu for ProService icon.
1. Run regedt32
2. Access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ControlSet001\Services\ProService9.1X
3. Select Image Path in right hand pane
4. Edit Image Path to reflect Progress install directory\bin\ProSrvc.exe
