The database broker process starts backing out the transactions associated with the dead server.

Sometimes the broker process detects the dead server and issues an 1153 error
BROKER detects death of server <pid>. (1153)
Database may abnormally shut down as a result of the 2252 and 2253 errors if the dead server was holding a shared memory resource at the time of the failure.
