When introducing a new processor Power5, IBM renamed AS/400 machines from iSeries to i5.
In the meantime terminology regarding OS/400 operating systems changed:
- OS/400 V5R3 has been renamed to i5/OS.
- OS/400 is still a valid name for the release V5R2 and earlier.
