GOAL:
May a client connect to a double byte enabled database and a single byte enabled database at the same time?
FIX:
No.
Double byte clients should not connect to a single byte database, nor should a single byte client connect to a double byte database as the database can become corrupted. The administrator of a multi and single byte enabled site must manage the connections in such a way as to prevent the single byte clients from receiving multibyte data and vice versa.
