Getting errors 8452 when trying to start the odbbroker1
Not licensed to run this product. (8452)
Getting error 8297 when using odbman
Unable to start <service_name> (8297)
OpenEdge ODBC DataServer license installed
The problem also occurs for the Oracle and MS SQL Server DataServers
CAUSE:
Bug# 20040810-017
FIX:
Upgrade to 10.0B05 or later.
If you can not upgrade then there are 2 ways to work around the problem:
1. Start the broker manually using _probrkr with -H, -S, and -N parameters.
OR
2. Install OpenEdge Studio license in conjunction with existing data server license, in order to be able to start the DataServer broker from the Progress Explorer
