During the installation of Progress 9.x the user is given the choice of performing a Typical (the default), a Complete, or a Custom installation.
The typical choice will install the mandatory components and their subcomponents.
The complete choice will install all mandatory components and their subcomponents as well as all of the optional components and their subcomponents.
The custom choice will allow you to select which optional components to install.
