SYMPTOM(s):
Error attempting to connect to database in single-user mode with prowin32.exe
Error attempting to connect to database in multi-user mode with prowin32.exe
Can connect in single-user mode using _progres
Can connect in multi-user mode using _progres
Starting database with proserve causes error in jvmstart
Database starts successfully with _mprosrv
Database starts successfully via ProControl
SYSTEM ERROR: I/O error 2 in readit, ret <num>, file <num>, addr0. (290)
CHANGE:
Applied 9.1D09, or any 9.1D service pack, to existing install.
CAUSE:
Either the Service Pack was downloaded improperly or applied improperly.
FIX:
Either reinstall Progress or, if the backup option was selected during the Service Pack install, copy the contents spbackup folder over the DLC directory.
