SYMPTOM(s):
WebClient fails to install the application component files
Application installation terminated with error:
Couldn't download application component: dirname\<cab file name> from Web Server with URL: http://hostname/dirname Error code is 3
Codebase locator URL properly set
Testing the download of the same cab file from the browser fails intermittently
CAUSE:
Intermittent network failure between the client machine and the web server.
FIX:
Network failures must be resolved before attempting to install or upgrade
WebClient application. Contact network administrator, or network service provider
in order to isolate and solve problem with the network.
