Actuate Service Server doesn't start due to error # 1069
DRAFT COPY - Currently under review and edit.
INTRODUCTION:
============
Error Message: "Couldn't start the Actuate Administration Server
service on <machine name>"
"Error 1069: The service did not start due to a
logon failure"
WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
=========================
One can't start the Administration Server service from the Services
Window on the NT Server.
PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
===================
The Actuate Services need to logon with the 'user account' that has
been created on the NT Server. Due to a different password on these
services the logon could fail.
To overcome this, open the Control Panel - Services - Startup, and
change the password of the requested service to the exact same one
as the user account has.
