Status: Verified
SYMPTOM(s):
Progress 4GL client produces error (291).
A non-Progress backup utility (like Veritas) is currently running.
The Progress database files are excluded from the non-Progress backup.
Insufficient disk space or Write access denied. (291)
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
CAUSE:
The non-Progress backup is backing up the Progress user temp files and is stopping the files from being written to by the users.
FIX:
Exclude the Progress user temp directory from the non-Progress backup.
The Progress user temp directory is either the Progress client working directory (default) or if specified the directory given with the -T client startup parameter.
