GOAL:
Can I use Oracle dblinks to access a DB2/400 database ?
FIX:
Oracle Transparent Gateway allows Oracle users to access external data sources like DB2 in AS/400, using this mechanism makes easier the integration of Oracle to external databases however it creates an additional layer which Progress is not designed to handle
Due this fact, Progress does not support external dblinks from Oracle to different datasources, we could use a dblink to access another Oracle database as long as the version is the same and the user has enough privileges to access it.
