GOAL:
Is necessary to break a Fathom Replication before installing a Progress Service Pack ?
GOAL:
Should I rebuild the Fathom Replication after installing a Progress Service Pack ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D
FACT(s) (Environment):
Fathom High Availability Replication 2.0A
FIX:
No, there is no need for breaking a Replication due to the installation of Progress Service Pack anyhow.
However, the replication is using Progress core binaries, so before installation of Progress Service Pack, all services have to be shutdown.
In order to apply Progress Service pack in a Replication environment, please:
1) stop the databases (on source and target machines)
2) stop the AdminServer (if used) on source and target
3) install Progress Service Pack (on source and target)
4) bring your databases (and other services) back online
