Cannot install Progress on SuSe Linux 9.1
The ldd _ovrly command gives the following information:
linux-gate.s0.1 -> (oxffffe000)
libd1.s0.2 -> /lib/libd1.s0.2 (0x40028000)
libm.s0.6 -> /lib/tls/libm.s0.6 (0x4002b000)
libc.s0.6 -> /lib/tls/libc.s0.6 (0x4004d000)
/lib/ld-linux.s0.2 -> /lib/ld-linux.s0.2 (0x40000000)
CAUSE:
Incompatibily between Progress binary and new version of C-library in combination with 2.6 kernel
FIX:
Set following OS variable and repeat the installation
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
Please note - this installation has not been certified with Progress - the supported route would be to upgrade to Progress 9.1E
