Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.0A
SYMPTOM(s):
prostrct create -blocksize returns 5991 message
minimum blocksize allowed is <block-size>, continuing with <block-size> dbblocksize (5991)
procopy of empty database returns error 6737
Source and Target databases should have same blocksize: , . (6737)
CAUSE:
Documentation bug. On p.1-11 of the OE 10 OpenEdge Data Management: Database Administration, Dec 2003 version, it states that the values 1, 2, 4 or 8 can be specified for the -blocksize qualifier to prostrct create. This is incorrect - the complete values have to be given in KB.
FIX:
Specify the complete value for -blocksize in KB, e.g.
prostrct create sports2000 sports2000.st -blocksize 4096
