SYMPTOM(s):
VB.Net application using AppServer fails to connect to NameServer
Admserv.log contains errors
[5/20/04 4:42:13 PM] [0] [ManagementPlugin] * Error processing event: local.localhost:ID=NameServer-NULL Error occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
[5/20/04 4:42:13 PM] [0] [ManagementPlugin] * java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sonicsw/mf/common/runtime/INotification (11491)
AppServer configuration reviewed and is correct.
Ports used by AppServer and NameServer reviewed and verified as correct ports.
Proxy Server is being used.
Shutting down Proxy Server allows application to connect successfully.
CAUSE:
Proxy server wasn't letting connections thru to the NameServer port.
FIX:
Review Proxy Server settings to make sure there is no impedement to the UDP connections to the NameServer
