Results using u-cprint.p with Win95 control codes to printer
For information on how to use u-cprint.p to send control codes to a
printer from gui Results, see kbase entry 16525 "RESULTS, compressed
print, features, how to use u-cprint.p". This entry addresses
special considerations when using u-cprint.p with Windows 95.
If you have correctly set up the arguments for u-cprint.p and are not
able to print through this feature, you may have to change your
printer spool settings.
In Win95, click Start -> Settings -> Printers (or Control Panel ->
Printers). Select the printer you wish to use. Choose File ->
Properties (or double-click the printer, choose Printer -> Properties
). Select the Details tab. Click Spool Settings. Change the Spool
data format from EMF to RAW. Alternativley, you may choose to print
directly to the printer (without spooling). The RAW format allows
information specific to a given printer, i.e. control codes, to be
understood. The EMF format is not printer-specific and thus does not
support the use of control codes.

A second consideration in Win95 is to make sure your printer port is
captured. From the printer property window, choose the Capture
Settings tab, and click Capture Printer Port (or from the Details tab,
click Capture Printer Port). Choose a port device and fill in the
correct path to your printer.
