SYMPTOM(s):
Failure to use customizations within link script between versions causes compilation to fail.
ldpro script customized after probuild generated script fails to compile
3rd party consultant customized HLC link script
several 3rd party C libraries added to compilation
CAUSE:
During migration, customizations to an HLC link script were not carried forward to the new version of Progress.
The lack of these additional compilation switches causes the compile to fail.
FIX:
Any customizations to scripts made with PROBUILD should be documented thoroughly by the individual/group which makes the customizations.
Progress Support staff may refer clients to the original consultant group who made the customizations to the link script or may refer the client to Progress Consulting group.
