GOAL:

Why the database version number on error 44 does not match on 10.0A

GOAL:

Why the database version number is 150 on 10.0A?

FACT(s) (Environment):

OpenEdge 10.x

FIX:

As described on the solution P58368, the number specified on the error 44 which is the database version number subtracted by the database block size should give the database version.

On OpenEdge this calculation will show 150, instead of 100 as expected. This is an example using 4K database block size:

Database version number: 4246
Database block size: 4096

Subtracting one number from another will generate 150 as a result.

Although the result does not show 100 as it should be, this is the expected behavior. The number reported on the database version changed to 150 because of architect design made for OpenEdge 10.
