SYMPTOM(s):
Latino American Spanish characters are not printed correctly
Program uses OUTPUT TO PRINTER command.
Report sent to a file looks right if read with MS-Word
Report looks wrong if viewed from DOS with TYPE command.
Printer is an ASCII matrix printer.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 8.x

CAUSE:
The report is being sent to the printer as iso8859-1 code page (The Windows standard for Latino America) and the ASCII printer is expecting IBM850 characters.
FIX:
To convert from iso8859-1 to IBM850 code page for the printer, add the client startup parameter -cpprint IBM850.
