Changing manually the pictures in aftemlognw.w will have no effect.
Dynamics actually provides a more flexible way to customize it, by defining it in the repository:
1) Open Security Control in Administration
2) For the root node 'Security Control', we provide the ability to modify things like Company logo filename, System icon filename, Small icon filename and Product logo filename.
