Status: Verified
SYMPTOM(s):
Created a database by restoring from an online backup
Online backup was made using the -com parameter
Checksum validation of dbkey error repeated in the database log file
Checksum validation of dbkey <> in area <> does not
match data. Expected: <> received <>.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
OpenEdge 10.0A
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00105928
FIX:
Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.0B
If upgrading is not possible the following two workarounds are available:
1.Remove the -com parameter when doing the online backup and restore the database again.
2.Correct the checksum errors to get rid of the annoying messages. This can be
done by dumping and loading the blocks in question with a script.
