Batch process moves records from Progress 9.x database to Progress 8.x database
Windows 3.11 client (touch screen) running Progress 8.1 queries the Progress 8.x database
Fewer records are being returned to the Windows 3.11 / Progress 8.1 client than should be
CHANGE:
Recently converted from older SCO machine to newer (faster) HP-UX machine
CAUSE:
Another batch process was purging records from the Progress 8.x database before the download of the records from the Progress 9.x database to the Progress 8.x database could be completed (i.e. the downloaded records were being purged from the database almost as fast as they were loaded into the database)
FIX:
Modify the batch process which purges records to not delete records that are part of a batch which is in the process of being downloaded
