OS/400 V2R2M0 with Client/Server 6.2J Connection Bug
When Using Progress/400 Client/Server Version 6.2J with OS/400 V2R2M0,
the -is (ignore timestamp) parameter must be used. There is a proble
m with 6.2J Server that causes the Server to end unexpectably when the
timestamp check is performed on a DB Connect.
The one danger is code and/or schema changes will not be checked prope
rly, possibly causing code failure and/or data corruption; this howeve
r can be accounted for if proper procedures are in place for code and
schema changes (through authorities, etc).
This problem is corrected in Version 6.2M and greater of Progress/400
client/server.
