Kbase P83539: Web Services Adapter will not start
Autor   Progress Software Corporation - Progress
Acesso   Público
Publicação   10/1/2007
Status: Unverified

FACT(s) (Environment):

Web Services
OpenEdge 10.x

SYMPTOM(s):

WSA request error: CONNECT FAILURE

Can not check status of the web service.

Can not deploy a new web service.

CAUSE:

The servlet containing the instance of the WSA was not running.

FIX:

The servlet containing the instance of the WSA must be running before you can connect to the WSA with the AdminServer (Progress Explorer Tool).

1. Start the servlet engine
2. Test connect to the WSA servlet.

For the sample WSA servlet supplied with Progress the test URL would be:

Make certain you get "WSA OK" before trying to connect with the AdminServer. If you do not get the "WSA OK" message, go back and check the configuration of the WSA servlet.
