SYMPTOM(s):

Can not connect to webspeed agents

Msngr: Failed to make connection to WTA. Verify all port configuration for the specified service are correct (5810): Error: -65, Agent Port: 30401

Distributed configuration, messenger outside firewall, transaction server inside firewall

Messenger name server verify successful

Broker verify successful

Broker verify can see active agents available

Agent verify hangs and times out

Firewall has required port range open as specified by srvrMinPort and srvrMaxPort

Agent started in port range 50401 - 50451

wtbman -q shows agents are running on negative ports
-15131, -15132, etc

CAUSE:

FIX:

Use port range below 32768 for agents or upgrade to Webspeed 3.1E or Progress 10.0B01
