GOAL:

How to relocate log files of AdminServer, NameServer, etc.

FACT(s) (Environment):

Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x

FIX:

On Windows the AdminServer log file gets automatically relocated if you start
the AdminServer with proadsv from a different directory. If the AdminServer is started as service than it's the WorkPath registry entry which determines the location of the admin server log file. The fastest way to find all places of the WorkPath registry entries is using the find feature (Menu Edit -> Find) of the Registry Editor.

The location of the other log files (NameServer, AppServer etc.) you set with the Logging Setting properties of the specific service using the Progress Explorer tool.
