SYSTEM ERROR: I/O error 9 in readit, ret <n>, file <n>, addr <n>. (290)
SYSTEM ERROR: I/O error <n> in <program>, ret <n>, file <n>, addr <n>. (290)
Error occurs on Windows XP only
Occurrences are related to periods of inactivity and/or peak workload.
CAUSE:
Progress was not properly installed on workstations.
'Installation' was performed by simply copying over DLC directory from one machine to another
FIX:
Install Progress properly by using the Installation tools provided to either perform a local install or a NetSetup
