Fathom 2.1A
FIX:
Fathom 2.1A added the ability to monitor OpenEdge servers and remote resources, such as CPU and Memory usage.
In order to monitor the system resources only (CPU, memory, File system, disk) on (say) three servers, S1, S2, S3; where S2 is the one with Fathom Management 2.1A [S2FMX]:
As Fathom 2.1A uses Sonic MQ as a messaging service, you need to have a Progress AdminServer (91D08 +) Product license on the remote host where the resources are to be monitored and then configure Fathom and the AdminServer with fmconfig (refer to Solution P71503 below for enabling remote monitoring).
So in this example:
S1: Install license with the AdminServer 9.1D08 + (for example NameServer or Personal Database license)
S2FMX: Progress Database License 9.1D + SP08 or above, (otherwise you won't be able to trend data which makes no sense) + Fathom Management 2.1A bound to the 9.1D08
S3: same as S1 .. you need an AdminServer.
