ORASRV incorrectly defined causes DataServer client to hang
When starting up a remote DataServer broker, if the Dataserver server
environment variable (ORASRV, CISSRV, RMSSRV, SYBSRV, ...) is
incorrectly defined, when you try to connect a client to the
DataServer server, the connection will hang, until you abort it with
CTRL-C or CTRL-BREAK.
On the dataserv.lg file, you will be able to see error:
Broker: Could not spawn Server (1890)
Please check if the ORASRV environment variable is pointing to the
right executable.
This issue has been seen on the ORACLE DataServer specifically, but it
should affect all DataServers when using PROGRESS networking.
